Lost and Found

Did you lose an item on campus? Stop by the CIC to see if your item was turned in, or submit a Lost Item Report Form. Individuals should also inquire with the Department of Public Safety’s lost and found at (585) 275-2552.

Did you lose your University ID? You will receive an email from a team member if your UR ID is turned into the CIC. All IDs are turned over to the Susan B. Anthony ID Office daily. Individuals should also inquire with the ID Office at (585) 275-3975.

Equipment Sign-Out

The following equipment is available to be signed-out and utilized by the University community. Please note, a University ID card or Government ID must be shown to complete the sign-out process. Items not returned or returned damaged may result in a loss of privileges.

Bulletin Board Flyer Approval

Wilson Commons Student Activities (WCSA) oversees six bulletin boards stretched between Wilson Commons, Douglass Commons, Genesee Hall, and Spurrier Hall. The CIC will accept and approve up to seven letter-sized and up to four tabloid-sized flyers from University of Rochester student organizations and departments. Recycling and Food Pantry Donations

The CIC has three collection bins available to accept printer toner recycling, small electronics recycling, and food pantry non-perishable food donations. Electronics dropped off for recycling must meet the IT Equipment Recovery Program guidelines and eligibility requirements. For more information on how to recycle on campus, visit this website.

Item Distributions

Student organizations or departments who are looking to distribute items to the University community related to an event, activity, or program can do so through the CIC. The Item Distribution Request Form must be submitted seven days prior to the start of the distribution, and the items for distribution must be delivered to the CIC no less than two days before the start of the distribution.

Same-Day and Personal Use Room Reservations

Same-Day Room Reservations

  • The CIC can submit same-day room reservations for last-minute or emergency meetings in Wilson Commons, Douglass Commons, Genesee Hall, Spurrier Hall, and O’Brien Hall. Services (AC or tech support) will not be available or provided.

Personal Use Room Reservations

  • Individual students can reserve 504 Wilson Commons for individual use at the CIC. Reservations are limited to specific purposes; such as, interviews/job preparation, online tutoring sessions, telehealth appointments, and testing. Reservations may be made no more than 4 days in advance, and the maximum reservation duration is 4 hours.
